Sedan or Coupe?
Well, it's hit me once again, and i've realized that I must be a true Honda person at heart. Took the Yaris into the Honda dealer today, to see what I could do do trade it in. Apparently, after all was said and done, I can qualify for the Civic of my dreams. okay, well, maybe not my dreams, but a new Civic nonetheless.
From my price range, and in 5-speed, I've only got a couple of options. A white sedan, a red sedan, or a silver Coupe.
I'm torn, I love them both, but I've got no sense of direction! i've been away from the Honda crowd far too long.

Taffeta white ftw.
Get a taffy sedan and put a mugen replica spoiler and youd be rolling.
Tafetta white For The Win (in case you didnt know)

I would have liked to say that, but it looks like I only have so many options for performance. As long as it's more fun to drive than the automatic Yaris though, if I can make it look decent I should be satisfied.

I'm a sucker for the Coupe's rear so I guess you know what I'd say... besides I see too many Sedans that it's nice to see a Coupe every now and then !

Is it possible to hold out?
I know a way you can save cash and earn interest but you have to be able to be disciplined.
Claim exempt on your tax withholdings. Deduct 25% (or whatever percentage you like) from your gross earnings and start a money market with this. At tax time you might be cutting uncle sam check but you will have earned interest on your tax dollar, something that isn't happening by the over payment of taxes every year. The Fed is earning 2% at a minimum with your over payment of tax and not cutting you in. I have been doing this for the last 10 years.
This doesn't help you out now because it's so late in the tax season, but think about this for the future.
I would drive a yaris with a nice catback, cold air intake nice set of tein basics and some 205/50/15 falken tires on your wheel of choice maybe even a 25 shot of go go juice. Yaris S looks pretty cool dropped on a 15" wheel tire combo.

I've got the Yaris sedan, it's already lowered, I've got my wheels, and a cat-back exhuast, but it's still automatic, it's still sluggish, and I'm still without power locks and windows.
Looks like now I may be stuck with it though.

Unless you get an SI, the R18 engine isnt gonna offer much granted you dont turbo it. but even then its borderline fast. People say stock si's are slow and youd be right there in that speed range.
My g/f has a Yaris sedan and thats what ive been driving around for the past 3 months. My si was totaled and it is a slow car but ive driven slower. Like the companys Hybrid (OMG slow). I think its DOHC engine puts in work at times, its a nice little car. If you can hold out save some more money and try to get a 96-00 coupe.
