I believe that there are two types of rims for the two different sizes... Standard 17-18 , Sport 17-18. Hope I'm not repeating the answers from someone else.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (kiblez)
stupid *** noob. U live in the middle of the ******* boonies... no **** cars are going to be cheaper. I know u as a customers will try and get it for as little as possible but look at it from the other point of view. Why give a car away for MSRP when in most parts of california we have people telling us they will pay thousands over... would you sell your product for less if you knew you can get more? didnt think so... So next time think before u type and go cow tipping or something

Was looking into getting one of the 06' civic si's w/ nav and was wondering when people think that there will be an surplus of them? I have looking around my area and no one even has one on the lot to drive. I am not going to buy a car I can't drive first. Not only that, but with no cars on the lot, how are you supposed to get it for under MSRP?
Also, does anyone know if a person that is 6 feet can fit in the new civic? I love the way they look i'm just hoping I can fit.

6' is not that tall you should be alright. I bet you wont start to see extra SI's sitting on the lot until 07 models start coming in.

I think what he was trying to say was "Don't pay 5k above MSRP when you can get it for MSRP or less"; he just didn't word it right. No one is getting an Si for $15k- that's just stupid.

I'm 6' 5" and I barely fit, but it depends on how your body is made up. I know a guy who's 6' but is taller than me when sitting. But you'll probably be just fine. The car is small, but not impossibly small.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (BRT Jim)
I never thought about the telescoping wheel. I can see that helping a lot. Plus I believe that the seat has a height adjustment as well. I know with the older civics my knees would hit the steering wheel and it was just a very confined feeling.
I would love to test drive one of these and if I like it try to get it for in between invoice and MSRP, but seeing that there is such a hot market for them right now, I guess i"ll have to wait.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (leepoffaith)
I'm not sure if things aren't starting to cool off already. My local dealer still has that 06 Si with body kit and 18" wheels sitting on their lot with a $2-$3k ish markup. If it was still uber-hot I'm sure someone would have picked it up already. I'd pay MSRP- even at that price I think the car is a good deal. But I think the number of people that will pay over MSRP is almost gone. One salesman said they get one per month, so if it is around another 2 weeks they'll have 2 on the lot.
The telescoping wheel is a miracle. I'm so tall I have to put the seat all the way back and in most cars the steering wheel is just too far away. I wish it came back further in the Si, but some is better than nothing.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (BRT Jim)
I just put a deposit on an Si over the weekend. I was quoted MSRP.
Heritage Honda in Westminster had a Habanero Red one on the lot due to a mix up in ordering, if anyone cares. Ask for Ed, he was very easy to deal with.
Come April/May/June I should have my galaxy gray Si.
Oh, I'm 6 2 and fit in this civic better than any civic/integra/rsx I've ever sat in, very nice.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (BeerMan)
Did any of you just get an email from Honda regarding the new Si sedan concept? From what I read, this is going to be an actual production car next Fall with Brembos and cross-drilled rotors... I guess it was released at Chicago auto show duh...anyways heres some pics I found on the net, btw this has been posted already somewhere else on here.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (DjGuamstyles)
you realize this is identical to the original 06 Si concept, just with 2 extra doors, and less the garrish fog lights and black headlamps. Honda will NOT put those expensive calipers on a civic, and nor will it have retarded drilled rotors, but they MAY give it those rims. It may happen, but its still a concept.

Re: The quoted price I got for 06 Civic Si (97 TYPE-R 312)
First post here. I have read this entire thread. I am currently looking for a new base model SI with no nav. I called around the dealerships near me (bay area) and most lots only have 1 or 2 available. I'm in no rush, and can wait until summer or even later to buy my car. Does anyone know when the dealers will receive more shipments of SI's? I would like more selection, so I can have more negotiating power and also am able to pick out the color I prefer. Thanks.

That's rediculous. I understand that many dealerships are marking these cars up...but there are just as many other dealerships out there that aren't. I personally had to go through 3 dealerships before finally getting my new Si at MSRP. I was given the run-around since November by the first 2 dealers, and then finally found a salesperson that actually knew what he was talking about, and wasn't just blowing smoke up my @$$. If you're anywhere near Texas, I'd suggest calling Mike Smith Honda...ask for Wade McGraw. He treated me right!

I wouldn't expect there to be a surplus until late this year, if not next year. As you've probably already noticed, availability of these cars is a major issue. If you actually find a dealer that will let you test drive the new Si, then you're lucky b/c every dealership that I went to said "nope, no test drive!" I knew already that I was buying one regardless, so it didn't bother me...but for people that aren't sure, I can see where there might be a little skepticism. As for getting it below MSRP...yeah right, wouldn't hold my breath. You'll be doing better than most if you get it FOR MSRP !!!
Interior has plently of room, even for a 6 footer.
I've had several import sports cars in the past (2 different 3000GTs, Supra Turbo), and even though this new Civic Si doesn't have the raw power that some of those cars did, it's absolutely a blast to drive. I love it and would recommend it to any import car enthusiast.

I cant see any dealerships selling their Si's for MSRP or less. Honda is only releasing them in really limited quantities. It would be a really stupid business decision to sell them without dealership markup. But then i live in Hawaii where all dealerships have dealer markup.

Re: (Bigcountry154)
I've been quoted sticker price several times, no mark up, but offered a really good trade-in value. I'm waiting for it to be under sticker and with a great trade in value
