a couple thousand down. 6.39% apr :D with 585 CREDIT SCORE :D :D :D I got lucky </TD></TR></TABLE>
You did? You realize $350 x 12 months x 7 years is $29400, right? Adding $2000 down to that is $31400. Wow, that's a lot for a Civic.

--- some of you were amazed at my "luck" and so am I. It was originally even lower APR when I first got the RX8 a few months before. It was even thru OnPoint Community Credit Union--which has VERY good rates apparently and kinda hard to get especially because it used to be Portland (Oregon) Teachers Credit Union and ONLY teachers could get it.
So yeah... with a credit score of 585....with not so high paying job.....and at that time...at least $30,000 in just credit card debt....not to mention school loans ($14k) I went into the Mazda dealer not thinking I could afford a car...also I had never driven a "fast" car before that either... up until 24 yrs of age = Honda Odyssey 1st gen....LOL
So, the manager there was frickin awesome and called up his friend at On Point and explained that I've never been late on payments or anything to my credit cards--that I was a good guy, and just needed a break.
And that was that :D
3.5 months later, I went to a diff dealership and Because I was already a member of OnPoint they gave me the going rate which was a tiny bit higher than before (6.39%) and they gave me 7 yrs financing just like before.

Eh, it was Iraq money.... didn't have anything to spend on, plus I had like 5 credit cards that I used for like 10 dollar purchases and paid off right away for the credit score.... and USAA gives premo f*ing rates.

Yeah I mean, I was making a good 65k/year, and I think I spent maybe 5k the entire time I was there.... you know, movies, birthday/ christmas gifts for the family, bought them online, sent them out. But that's about it. I bought this thing and helped my mom pay off her house....

You're such a good man dude! Almost brings a tear to my eye.
No seriously that's pretty cool. Not alot of people that would do that. I would probably do the same thing if my mom's husband didn't make 100K a year.
