Default New Headlights Arrived.......Question!?!?

There's no type of adaptor harness or anything like that. All the spots where the bulbs go are hollowed out. So do the factory bulbs plug right into these spots??....the only wires coming out of the housing are a red and a black wire....and I have no idea what they are for. And the only other thing that came with the setup is a turn signal bulb for each headlamp.

Did I get everything I was supposed to get with this assembly?

There were no instructions that came with it and I can't contact them until tomorrow at 11AM (my time). Help me out guys. Thanx!

Here's a couple quick pics including the red and black wire I was mentioning..........

I am assuming (and hoping) the factory bulbs just plug right up to this new setup.....so I guess my only main concern after that are the red and black wires protruding behind the angel eye and exactly what those two are for.

I like! Where did you get them? Would you share or PM me on the price? I would figure that the red/black wires are in fact for the angel eyes. I got some similar headlights for a 1999 Yukon and they had angel eyes with wires like these. I hooked them up to the parking light wires and they worked pretty nicely that way. Please share info on these!

Similar to what I saw on ebay the dual angel eye black housing. I asked the seller if it was compatible with a P-N-P HID application and the response was probably not... so I didn't get any. HID projectors w/angel eye would be nice.

How can there be a light already in there if the area behind the angel eye is completely empty. Looks to me that it's where the low beam plugs in and maybe those wires connect to the LEDs that are on the sides of the angel eye. There are three holes in the setup that are covered by a white protective patch. One at the turn signal, one at the low beam, and one at the high beam. If the LEDs are the only source of light output....then why would they even bother with the cutout for the bulb placement behind the angel eye??

I've heard nothing but good things from this company and their products....that's why I decided to give it a shot. So if it turns out that it wasn't a good purchase....then I will be sure to let you guys know so that nobody else makes the same mistake.

So do me a favor and don't sit there and even ATTEMPT to think you know the level of taste that I have when it comes to my car. If you want bad taste....go look at "spoonman" and his riced out blue civic. If you want bad taste go look at the moron that put gigantic 20"+ rims on his silver Si sedan. I never would have gotten this product if I had heard bad things about the company. The impression I got on the phone was a good one. They gave me good info about the product and had it delivered to me the next day as promised.

If it's a cheap setup then it is what it is. Nothing I can do about that. That's the thing about modding and changing things out on a car......sometimes you hit bumps in the road. It's all part of the process. Not everything work out like you want it to all the time. It's all a learning process. I would think someone with your "technical" background would be aware of that.

Not in my vocabulary.

I posted this thread in the lighting forum and they are telling me that those wires are in fact for the small leds that are on the sides of the angel eye. Since i'll be getting an HID conversion, I really don't think those LEDs will make much of a difference in additional light output.

the 2 wires simply need to be put to a trigger.

If you want them on with your drl's you take the wires dedicated to those and run your red to it
and ground them

If you wanted them as turn signals you'd wire them to a corner light etc etc

as for the light being a part of the angel eye
there is 1 small LED in there that will light up the "circle"

as posted above if it DOES burn out, you are in fact SOL since you'd have to rip it open and solder in a new one

the projector in the center is seperate (bulb) wise than the angel eye surrounding it.

Had a set of projectors for my 97 sedan, red and black are for the "halo's" I have asked a seller on eBay regarding those same lights if the stock bulbs will fit. They said that no bulbs were included b/c it uses the stocks. He never emailed me back tho regarding the HID kit I have. Let me know how they turn out. I definitly dont have the money for retro's and my HID set-up has alot of glare

From what one of the sellers told me said they probably will not work... it is interesting because the HID kit which I have not installed yet looks as if it will just fit directly into the stock head lighthousing just as the stock bulbs plug right in. Only difference with HID kit is that it has the ballasts that attach to it also. Maybe it is because the red and black wires for the halos draw to much power/ dont connect right to power source? dunno.

Well looks like this little project is scrapped. Fitment on the headlights is a little off so i'm sending them back. The fender edge isn't sitting flush on either side.

I'm pissed.....so I guess these were ebay lights after all. I had no idea that a company like NOPI would use cheap brands like this. Big time dissapointment.

Lesson learned.

Weird though....i've ordered soo many things from this company for my last car and never had an issue. Times are changing.

So now i'm just gonna stick with the factory lights and purchase some lamin-x (smoke) for them and see how that turns out.

Sorry for the let-down guys.

If anybody has a link for purchasing the TSX HID Retro let me know please. That will most likely be my next route. Thanx!

For whats its worth, I had the same set up on my Mustang. Same exact lights. The wires coming out hooked up (on my mustang) to the parking lamps to activate the LEDs on the side when the parking lamps were on.

You will be better off sending these back, I had nothing but trouble with mine on the Mustang, the most obnoxious of which was (as you mentioned) they did not sit flush with the car and due to this the headlights "bounced" up and down. Nearly everyone in my club told me that it was the most obnoxious thing when I was driving behind them at night because it flickered up and down so much in the housing that it looked like a strobe light was coming behind them.

Bottom line, they look VERY nice when parked, but are not good at all in a real world driving situation. Youll be happy you ditched them now rather than later. Live and learn, thats the name of the game.
