You're going to buy a set of carbon fiber wheels? They're only like what? $40000000000 ?

Just stick to lightweight alloy wheels and you're fine. I doubt you'll ever require a CF wheel.

Or go FI and wheel weight isn't much of a concern.

Is that what you were referring to? I think I read correctly, cars like the Carerra GT have like CF wheels, no need for them on a Civic. Thanks to the Iraq War the cost of CF has gone up considerably anyways so you're looking at an increase over normal price.

For example, the ITR wheels I have are 11.5 lbs a piece, that's like ~6-7 lbs lighter per wheel from stock. And they don't cost an arm and a leg

Are you sure you aren't confusing carbon fiber with kevlar?

As for the wheel question forged magesium wheels area grip and If I owned a set they would be for track use only. I had a set of forged 5Zigens and at $500 a wheel you can imagine how pissed I was when I bent 2 of them. Can you imagine if I was rolling on magnesium and damaged just 1?

Because magnesium is so brittle they crack, they dont really bend. So you really cant repair a mag wheel like you could an aluminum wheel. What about a carbon fiber wheel, once it cracks that's it.

Nope, not confusing it, I spoke with Carbon Tech? (believe that's his name) regarding it. Carbon Fiber price has gone up substantially due to the military buying it.

*edit* I believe you may not be thinking of it's uses - Aircraft being the biggest one

I'm sorry, are you seriously trying to say you paid 13500 for wheels and that they give you horsepower?

Just trying to get this straight.

**** if wheels give you 35 hp, I guess stickers MUST give you at least 15hp a pop

Ok. There is no way rims that went for 13.5 give you 35 hp. Hell if that is the case and you want to get more power. Take that money that you spent on RIMS and put it toward a turbo kit, supercharger. Hell you can buy both if you wanted for that price. Post some pics on these new wheel.

The guy is totally Full of S**t! Obviously.

But, look at all of his "mods" on his car that is 3 months old. What a moron.

siboii08- There is no such thing as yellow JDM fogs for an '08 Civic Si. Those P.O.S.'s you bought (if you even actually have them), are really CDM, made it China.

*I seriously doubt that this child even has an '08 Si.*

he can't round up a few thousand for a decent turbo kit, but he claims he bought these wheels.

Yeah...lol....and you know that if he had all the money he pretends to throw around (or knew anything about cars), he'd definitely name the specific CAI he has...and the cams for that matter.

You act (and type) like you are 12 years old. Better tie some fireworks to your back, to beat me on your huffy.

I can't wait to see how you prove you have BC cams, Hondata (Hondata what?..reflash? sticker?), and the Stage 2 clutch (another no name brand?).
