Does anyone have any actual fuel economy #s? I have a 2007 EX that is getting averaging 35mpg on the highway. I'm using cruise control at speeds of 55-65mph.

WOW, that is really good. I have a 2006 SI and I only get about 22 mpg. Even though I have lots of HP modifications, I still drive fairly conservatively.

I also have an 06 Si. I get an average of between 23-24 city. I made a recent trip to Montana and I got an average of about 30 mpg between two tanks. I drive pretty conservatively....especially now that I have my softy snow tires on. We'll see if that number changes in the spring when the real tires are back.

i drive about 15% city 85% highway and i get somewhere between 25-28 when im not down on VTEC every day...

Edit: Filled up on monday, driven over 200 miles and still have half a tank.

I see you are pretty knowledgable around this forum. What's the low down on K&N SRI's? I don't ever hear anyone mention them. Not good, or what? I'd love to know what you think.

I have a bone stock 2007 si, and the highest MPG I've had was around 27.5. This was my first tank when I didn't take it into vtec or higher than ~4k rpm. Since then my mileage has decreased, I've had as low as 20.5mpg and not higher than 25.5mpg since then.

What gives? I only hit vtec like 5 times per tank. Does VSA affect this? Mileage has been one of my big gripes about this car.

i dont think VSA effects the gas mileage at all...all hondas are good on gas..its the way you drive it. i dont get good gas mileage..because i gun it alot...i cant help it most of the time haha...but yeah...its the way you drive it.

I average over 300 city per tank. It helps if you have an intake.

Like I said, I hit vtec maybe 5 times a tank, almost always keep it under 5k rpm. I drive like a grandma most of the time. Wtf? 22mpg on my last tank mostly cruising at 68mph on the highway

Besides, you're telling me a guy with a supercharger is getting the same or better than me? I don't care how you drive...

I consistently get 28-30mpg now a days... i average anywhere from 310-330 miles to a tank. best I ever had was 33mpg

I know I gun it a lot too.. but even when I haven't I get the same, so I have no idea wtf...

btw, like 75% freeway and 25% city

How many miles you got? You will get better mileage after the car is thoroughly broken in.

i also have a 2007 Si. i've only calculated my mpg once and it was 20.4 and i vtec maybe 5-10 times per tank. i have almost 2000 miles on my car and i think im getting better milage on this tank (150 miles, half tank). i drive like 85% city though.

I've got just under 2k miles, and my highway mileage varies, but on average I'd say 50/50. Hopefully mpg gets better like you say, because geez, i was getting 29mpg on my 1990 pickup!!

yeah i think it will, i have noticed my mpg gradually getting better. so try not to worry about it just enjoy the car. i know i do

lol, i use 87 oct... i really don't see a purpose of spending an extra $3-$4 a gallon for 91 or higher on the R18A1

btw, my motor has like 28k miles on it now

$3-$4 a gallon? Yeah I'd feed my si 87 for that price difference, too

I think it is important to note that you have a supercharger. All gains are made low to mid range. Therefore, decreasing your MPG significantly even if you are conservative.

I have been getting 27-30 MPG easily.

In addition to my initial post, I get about 375 miles before the orange light comes on. I got 402 miles out of the second or third tank of gas after the car was new. Maybe if the car was on a dyno with cruise set to the best ecconomical setting, you could actually get the 38 the car is rated for.
It does seem to have more power than when new, but not better gas mileage. I have over 5,000 miles on it, and changed the oil last week at 30%. I'm pretty sure it's broken in about as good as it's going to be.

With my bone-stock 2006 EX w/5000 miles I get a consistent 33-34 mpg, 80% highway (65-75 mph), 20% city.

Since I've started driving to Nashville everyday, I get 33-35 MPG in the SI...no joke

my avg mpg is about 24.5 to 25 mpg. I am in v-tec several times a day. I use the engine to slow me down a lot--that might affect gas mileage..

I've gotten about 30 mpg before on a long trip, but I was vtec'ing it and driving like mad too... I'm sure i could hit 32-33.

I was driving with L-dawg this past weekend in windy twisty mountain roads pretty hard...and the rest of the tank I was vtec'ing it a lot and I got about 21.5mpg :x
