Wow. sorry that sucks!!
As for the glass.....just vacuum the hell out of your car....every single nook and cranny. You'd be surprised where some of that glass ends up.

I'm sorry to hear that...but just one tip in the future
if your radar detector was suction-cupped to the front windshield that's like saying "OOH IM HERE FOR THE TAKING" to thieves. many many people with gps's and the like suction cupped to their windshield have had their cars broken into and the units stolen.
in general it is better not to keep any sign of a gps or a suction cup on the front windshield. even a trace of suction can be a sign to thieves that a gps or similar unit is present. my dad always hides his gps unit when he goes out and has never used a suction cup to attach it to the front windshield

Damn that sucks!!
My LX coupe was broken into twice within the first year I had it (bought Oct '05). I usually don't leave anything expensive in my car, so all they took were my CDs and some change. More than a year later, I still see small pieces of glass.
Tip: Do not use your own vacuum. I suggest going to a car wash place or gas station and use their vacuum instead.

damn that sucks man. was your ipod out in the open? i tuck mine in my cup holder when i park. nothing else is worthy to steal in my car.
when my quarter pannel glass was shattered by that semi the auto body shop did it for me and i cant find any glass anywhere.
i wait for the day someone tries to break in my car and i catch them. its not going to be pretty.

You're lucky the tint held a lot of glass together. I'm still finding shards in my car.
Remove faceplate.
Remove any crap- it shows your car is empty.
Remove any doo dads like an iPod adapter or a radar detector.
Have cool blinking alarm light.
Most of the reasons to break in are gone.
I learned this the hard way too. A shitload of damage for a CD player worth maybe 25 bucks.

I just take my iPod inside with me every time. Only thing I ever leave in my car is just a hoodie....hardly worth stealing.
Good luck getting it fixed.

Re: (IT GUY)
When you lock the car with the remote then opening the door with out un-locking it with the remote. It's gone off on me before when I leave the windows down, lock it with the remote, then come and unlock it from the inside of the car and opening the door.

Re: (omega1n)
I was cleaning my car last night. and noticed that my drivers side door frame was bent, at the top where it looks like someone tried to break in. I do not leave anything in my car to steal so I guess they wanted the car but for some reason did not get it.

Re: Car break in (inlineaddict)
doors were locked.. and the alarm did go off. i sleep like a bear tho. my mom woke me up and by the time i looked out the window they were gone. the only thing in plain site was my radar detector. everything else was stored away. they hit other cars in my neighborhood too. and now im finding things that were in my wallet around my neighborhood.

Yeah, my old hatch had it's driver side window busted a couple of times. Even if you think you got it all, chances are you don't. Just be patient now, and make sure you get it all, before you forget and reach down under the seat and get cut
