I'have got news for the TL vs RL:
RL Caliper = four 43mm pistons (5808.8 mm sq).
TL Brembo = two 42mm & two 38mm piston (5039 mm sq).
That's 15.3% more hydraulic area.

But...that's not news.
This thread is very old. I have been using the RL brakes for a year or so on my TSX. The downside is, as mentioned, the increase in hydraulic area of the caliper. There is more pedal movement before something happens. And the pedal is not as firm as before.
BUT....the braking is fairly powerful and they do look great.
I wouldn't use the RL brakes on a track car. The feel is not very confidence inspiring...and there's some mush going on...and the brakes are VERY front-biased unless you do something about it.

I still think for OEM Bigger brakes the TSX is hard to beat in terms of price/time & effort to install...
Piston is 33% bigger and the pad is also 35% larger... the ventilated area is also thicker.
Don't get me wrong the TL-S is a great option but requires a certain amount of work.
