2009 Honda Civic engine problems
we bought a used 2009 Honda Civic with 54000 miles and in a year we've put about 5000 miles on it. We change the oil every 3000 miles. We've recently replaced the tires and also the engine mount. Now the engine isn't working. Is it normal for an engine to go out with 60000 miles on it. My husband thinks our 17 yr old is too hard on the car. Any input is appreciated.

Ok, I am not a mechanic, so I say check the fuse box and see if any fuses are blown, particularly the main power relay. It should be a big metal looking one in the engine bay fuse box. After that, if all is well, move on to the starter fuse. If neither of these are bad, you will have to get a professional to look at it.

The battery is working and everything comes on. A friend of my husband said he thinks our son ragged on it too much because there was oil all over the parking lot where the car stopped working.
