How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? Cause i was really interested in getn one till i went to the dealer ship and they wanted 43grand for it. I then laughed in his face and asked him if he was joking, but he wasnt i just though that was way to much of a mark up. I know the car is limited production and will be rare but that much is just insane.

Re: 2008 Honda Civic Mugen SI (Bac91Da)
the car goes for about $31,000....and i got it for about $29,000....its a great car....i mean many peeps tell me that i should've got an evo or sti or lexus....but hey the mugen si...its one of a kind...nobody else will really have it...only 1000 of them in the US....either you buy it....or you'll probalby never get one....

ahh veryy nice u got it below MSRP..lemme be the first to say gratz on the MUGEN..it definetly does look nice but i jus wish it was maybe 220-230 hp instead of jus all mugen show parts to conpensate for the 30g price tag..again very nice and be careful of the haters!!!

Nice car...saw one at a local dealer, too pricey for me (at least for what it comes with), but it's real-deal Mugen, and that's never cheap. You get what you pay for!

awesome. let's see pics! too bad they don't have that car here in canada, but even if they did, the markup would be so ridiculous (w/ conversion rates, etc.)

I have to agree. The EVO and STi offer much more for the $ and will definatley outperform it.
Having a rare car is nice, but I couldn't justify buying one.
I work at a Honda dealer and our Mugen has been collecting dust for 3 months.

honestly, the $10k diff in price isnt worth it to me, i mean hell i can put 10k into my fbp fg2 and it will be way faster and nicer than the mugen fa5.
but dont get me wrong, im a fan of the mugen fa5. just not a fan of the price.

Hi man, i have one, i got mine in january in north carolina for $31 and some change but it came with fog lights, sunroof visor, the thick rubber mats and some kind of paint threatment, i don't think it was a bad price considering for how they are selling for in other states. Now i'm trying to find the best header and intake for it, any suggestions?................

i've driven one of the mugen si's, and the price is probably not worth the gains performance wise. the suspension is much better than the regular si, and that's about it...but it is a showstopper. i agree with the looks<performance everyday, but driving it broke necks of passersby. it is definitely a standout. if you have the loot to throw around, buy it. you'll love it. if you bought a regular si, like myself and most of the rest of us, you probably bought it because it is great in the bang for buck driving experience. you can keep the mugen, and it's limited production, and high cost...just get me a few parts. haha.

I did research on this and Mugen of japan is having problems with the MAF sensor located on the air box, they said even tho the maf is not located on the japan version, it automatically throws a check engine light. read this on kingsmotorsports (but correct me if I am wrong)
EDIT* 1.3.2008
UPDATE: Mugen Air Box for 2006+ Civic Si We have completed initial test fitting of the Mugen airbox on the 06+ Civic Si. We have found while the airbox physically fits the USDM Si perfectly, the ID of the USDM intake hoses are slightly too small to fit the Mugen airbox. We are working with Samco to produce a correctly sized intake tube that will also have a provision for the USDM mass air flow sensor. More updates to follow.
