2007 Hybrid, still no sunroof?
This is my deal breaker. I know an open sunroof won't help eficiency but come on, I want to feel the sun on my skin this summer. Anyone else bummed by this? -Jason

I work for a Honda dealer here in Michigan and I have been saying for a long time they should make a hybrid model with a sunroof. But I guess a lot of people here are way to on the greenside of things and would just say that a sunroof is "not helping gas mileage."

Accord hybrid FTW!
Civic hybrid needs a sunroof, afterall it is supposed to be the most premium civic. I guess they're afraid the added weight will hurt the already over-rated fuel economy.
Honestly I dont see much of a reason to buy a hybrid. I hate the CVT feeling, plus they keep having start clutch issues. Its hard to get near the estimated fuel mileage on one and they really dont accelerate all that well. The 06+ is much much better than the 05. I get 32 mpg around town in my EX auto and see many people in the shop complaining barely getting that in a hybrid.
Anyway, not to try an talk you out of it, just giving my thoughts on them. They definetly have some good features.

you must not have been around for the mile long thread on the hybrid guy who took his to vegas and back, and even in the desert with his AC on he was getting more than 40mpg i believe... and i KNOW he was getting 50+ without AC.

Re: (Demonis)
it all depends on if you're accelerating or not. as soon as you accelerate, the gas motor comes in but when you stay at constant speed, the electric motor comes in. I know for sure that to drive an hybrid only in town, it is NOT more gas efficient because you are always accelerating and decellerating so the gas motor is always on, or almost.

Not saying it cant be done, but the car has to be driven nearly perfect to achieve it. I live around seattle and with our traffic and constant rolling hills hyrbids dont do so well.

I have decided to stick with the EX. The extra fuel economy doesn't may off for the 5K difference in purchase price. Too bad... -Jason

Now with the $5000 you saved, you can pick up a nice 1994-1997 Miata and have all the sun you desire.

my 92 5spd corolla beater gets better gas mileage than most hybrids
but yeah isnt the ex/lx/dx rated at 30/40 mph? I know I had my 03 ex it was rated at 32/38, I was getting 38 constantly. Thats plently mpg'age
