2007 civic si sedan STOLEN!!!
MY civic si was stolen and now my insurance has denied my claim because they say the security system in the ignition and the alarm was not defeated. So now I am at a loss of 20 k plus, and I need to prove them wrong to save my loss. They are accusing me of doing it and I have to prove myself innocent and the only way is to get proof of the system being defeated. PLEASE ALL HONDA/ACURA TECHERS help.

Re: 2007 civic si sedan STOLEN!!!
There is a factory alarm system and the cars title I would assume is salvaged, however it has not been released... but the looks of it, it is toast. My issue is how do I prove that I am Innocent and not left paying a freakin 20k bill. This is BS and that is why I came on here to see if someone can point me to the right direction (need of the right resources).

you need to have the car taken to a dealer and have them look over the car and prove that the factory alarm wasnt tampered with. the dealer can prove it and the insurance company should not be pointing the finger at you. What or how did they prove to you that you did it. What is their evidence?

Damn the reason I got this fa5 against a ITR, s2000, nsx, was I thought I wouldn't have to be as paranoid about theft and vandalism.
I hope this is still the case.

A set of keys were lost... don't knw when they were lost because they wer my spare set and didn't use them.. basically the insurance co. says the key that i turned into them was the last key in the ignition that drove the car from my residence to the levee

But yea the tracker and **** is good and If you lost a set of keys it does look suspicious. But if the key that you had in your hands was the key that drove the car away where is the spare? Wouldnt the spare have been the key to drive the car away?

op: was the car stripped down or just taken for a spin? any pics? remind your insurance co that the alarm doesn't have to be defeated to steal the car; you can just tow it to your destination and and then disconnect the battery once the alarm goes off (the factory alarm won't go off until the door is popped without a key). the alarm and ignition don't have to be damaged at all in order to steal the car.

Re: 2007 civic si sedan STOLEN!!!
If you read my posts carefully. The spare was lost and I did not knw it was lost until this came up because I had my regular set that I always used. Makes sense that when you use a key you don't use the other keys because what is the point. A key is a key nothing special about it so that is why I just use one set of keys UNLESS I lose the one I am using then of course I have to pull my spare out but this was never the case as I still had the key that I always used and didn't have the need to use the spare.
