07 SI Sedan hard to start in cold mornings...
My wife's 07 Si Sedan has been hard to start on cold mornings. It doesn't always do it, just randomly during cold starts (30-50 degrees). It has about 6k miles on it. It will turn over fine, just won't stay running. You have to crank it like 3-4 long times (3-5 sec) before it finally lights off. Right now this is are only car and we have a kid. I been riding my bike since my hatch is currently getting a new motor. Anyways, I hate to have to leave it at a dealership for a week because it never fails that it won't be hard to start when they try it...
Has this happened to anybody else??
I was thinking maybe fuel pump it not keeping pressure?????

Mine does the same thing - On exceptionally cold mornings it is a bitch to start. On just a regular cold day, it takes a few times turning over to get it started. THis is on an LX sedan.
On an SI Sedan that I tested, it hadn't been driven in a few days. The temp was about 30ish degrees out and it also took a few turn-overs to get it started. I think this is just the case with 4-cyl engines.

Take the car in.. you shouldn't be having that problem. We've had days here colder then -20 degrees celcius and my Si has started the first time every time.

Has the car had an oil change yet? You may want to check the viscosity of the oil. Too thick can make the car hard to start in the mornings, specially when people go with the 10Wxx and synthetics. Make sure you use the thinnest viscosity recommended by the manual, it will help with gas milage also.
Another thing could be the battery, take it to the dealer to check it. Though the battery may be new, it may be defective already.

Dealer messed up on my first oil change and put 5w20 in my SI and we had a cold morning or two before I could get back to the dealership and I noticed it was a little harder to start... but that wouldn't make sense... nevermind.. must have been in my head
They did a MTF change that day too (at my request) but couldn't prove to me that they used the new fluid so when I took it back to get the oil changed back to what it should have been I made 'em change the MTF too.. They saved the bottles for me the second time
