i drive a auto 07 civic ex and im getting a around 220 miles on a full tank. I live in san francisco so im constantly stopping/going and i live on hills.

is there somethign wrong with my car or am i just tripping?

that's a little low, but I don't have the same driving condition as you, so I don't know. The only thing I can think of is to drive one of your friends car for a tank and compare it's advertised mpg with your civic's.

is your car broken in? (more than 1000 miles)

do you take people with you around? even 1 passenger can slow R18s down especially on hills.

how are your driving habbits? constantly flooring it and ish.

lotta things can affect our gas mileage. give it some time for now i guess.

Are you stuck in traffic a lot? Idling kills mileage. Do you keep the engine rpms under 3000 for hte most part, especially during shifting? Do you coast to a light rather than drive quickly to it, brake suddenly, and accelerate heavily again? What's your percentage of city/highway driving? Are your tires properly inflated? Any mods that may affect performance or your driving style?

thats about what i get i have an 07 ex. I drive back and forth to school every day and its constant stop and go. When I do manly high way i get about 350 miles per tank but on the weeks where its just to school i get about 250.

I drive an Si and have a mix of highway, stop/go and I get around 325 miles per tank on avg.

What your getting is terrible......IMO.

I do 100% city driving in an Si sedan, and I get 300-315 miles on a full tank, and that includes some 8000rpm shifts a few times a week.

That's definitely low.

yeah thats kinda low, i usually get around 300ish maybe lower sometimes, maybe higher. its all on how you drive your car like evryone says and if you drive with your windows open or brake too hard. it all depends, but if you have broken your car in, its kinda low

what you have is horrible! if i do mostly freeway ill get in the 380 range but on street only ill get maybe 290, flooring it a lot though. i drive hard in my slow ex lol. im use to having a lot more hp than what my civic has but i love the mpg's. i went from 15mpg's on premium to 30mpg's on regular. i live on a hill so that doesn't help either.

i think the r18 has an elevated estimated mpg's. i average about 30mpg's

I have an 07 EX Coupe 5 speed lowered on OEM rubber and wheels. I have about 13k miles on it now and average about 34mpg using regular fuel and I use Mobile 1 synthetic oil. Most of the time Im by myself (and my 20lb dog) but the wife goes with me on occasion.
