transmission shift lock?
alright.
so today i parked my car in my garage to install my stock wing back on the trunk.
me and acouple girl friends wanted to run a quick test on the tail light on the wing. so i started the car, and the transmission shift was on lock. none of the taillights came on when i hit the brakes either.
read the manuel, parently its on shift lock. i followed the instructions as to what it told me to do, and it said if you have to do this everytime, you must get the car checked at the honda dealership.
any idea or clue what could be the problem??
if so...how much as for an estimate if you know?

Eh, im having a similar problem, but mines slightly more complex. It would seem your brake switch has gone out. Some people have said that the horn fuse/relay may also have something to do with this problem. The brake switch is anywhere from 20-50 dollars and the fuse is probably like a dollar. Relays are also on the high end at about 35-60 dollars. Best thing to do would be volt test all the connections to see where you problem is coming from. Check the horn to see if it works, brake lights, shift release. Seemingly all connected in some way.
Good luck!
