Default Replacing the Old Stock Bridgestone RE92

I'm looking around for new stock size tires for a 2004 2dr coupe EX CIVIC.
I've got my eye's on a few brands. Yokohama, BF Goodrich, and Kumho...
What do u suggest? And would going up a size in tire width would be a bad thing?
Like 195/60 15 to 200/60 15

college guys pocket book here....

Hmm 200/60/15, never knew they made those besides custom...

get 205/55/15 looks a little smaller... if you have drop or get 195/60/15 again

wow, your on the same boat as me. i was thinking of getting the falken ze512's in 195/60/r15 from here. http://www.hondamarketplace.com/zerothread/1408825

ive researched almost every tire out there and i think the falken ze512's are the best all around tire. their not AWESOME track tires but their REALLY GOOD stock replacements. but... i went ahead with 205/55/r15 for a little more grip. i was thinking of just going wider originally to 205/60/r15 but the extra width would have made my ride height higher. so i guess the 205/55/r15 would compensate. im not too worried about the gap so much right now because i might drop the car soon (maybe not). also, by going with 205/55/r15, i did not buy falken ze512s because their more expensive. so i ended up getting a good deal on hankook k106s. their also not the best tire out there, but their good enough stock replacements. (couldn't pass up the deal since i gotta pay for my first semester soon or i also would have gotten the falken ze512's in that size.)

if you try to buy falken ze512s out in the retail stores, they probably wont sell you them anymore because they are discontinued and are replaced by the ze912s.

Falken Ziex ZE-512's are actually well-known as one of the worst tires out there. They have poor sidewall strength (are prone to blowouts), and actually have pretty poor track response for a tire of their design.

The reason why the design was canceled, was due to the large amount of returns they had, and the overall poor performance record.

hmm... interesting. what would you say would be a good stock replacement for 195/60/r15 (more to answer his question and future knowledge for me )?

205/55/15's would be my size of choice. You're only .8 mph above the norm at 60mph.
For all-season tires: Kumho Ecsta ASX
For summer tires: Dunlop Direzza DZ101

Thats why mine blew up, I didn't know they sucked. Thanks for the info

damnit, i was going to get the asx's -_- and was looking for the dunlops at this place that sells used tires for cheap. thanks for the info toyomatt.

i personally like the bfg g force sport in 205 50 15 just about the same size as the 195 60 15 it is a tad bit smaller sidewall but still a great ride.oh and the g force does have a strong sidewall.they are a bit more money than the kumho tire.i just wanted to give you another option.dont get me wrong the kumho is a good tire also.hth shawn
