Re: please help!!! computer problem
Is the fried ecm the problem, or the visisble sympton of another problem?
Check to see if you have the proper alternator on the car.
Check to see if the alterantor monting bracket is correct, functioning properly, and allowing the alterantor to ground.
Check all terminals and charging cable that run from alternator to main fuse panel, and to ecm for voltage regulator function.
Check rectifier of alternator, and voltage regulator function and communication with the ecm.
Check ground point 101 mounted on thermostat housing.
Check ground point G1, and T3 9(cable from battery to chasis, and then to transaxle).
Check ground point T4 and G2 (cable to engine from rad support).
Check ground 301 and ground 302 (mounted under headlights, remove bumper cover).
With the road salt use in Canada would suspect corrosion to be the major contributor to a problem of this nature, even with an annual corrosion inhibiting program.

Re: please help!!! computer problem
Electrical Load Detector's (ELD's) are not used on Canadian Market cars, they are incorporated in US market only Honda's.

Re: please help!!! computer problem
i'm pretty sure my car has one....when all the electrical accessories are off, the alternator puts out around 13.8V. when i turn the fan on, charging voltage gets bumped up to 14.4V
