Re: My Build Thread
im not ready to drop it in yet. the stand is just for my new block to sit on instead of the floor and make it easier to work on. i did the same thing the first time when i put my first motor on.
i gotta get my car re-painted and dry ice to pick up the tar from inside the cabin. alot more work and $$$ to be done.

Re: My Build Thread
i started to remove some of the accessories off of the old motor and placed the bolts, etc in plastic bags. for the LIFE of me i can not get the drivers side passenger mount off of the motor. fuuuuuu. such a stupid design on hasports part of that motor mount. i gave up for today. ill tackle it again later.
as soon as i remove all the accessories, ill just scrape the motor = more room in my garage. thats my update for today. hehehe

Re: My Build Thread
got more of the engine broken down. got the tranny off after tugging on it for about 30 mins. and i got the oil pan off. man there was sooo much honda bond on there. that took a good 25 mins to pry it off.
only thing left is the side panel but i cant get the crank pulley off for the life of me and the hasport motor mount on that side. as soon as i get those PITA pieces off then i can take off the pump, chains, etc and i can throw this sucker away. onto pics
u can see a valve that was in the oil pan and a crack on the cover. hnoes:
tranny is fine and well.
u can see some of the bits and pieces from the piston and rod inside the oil system. what a mess that is.
oil pan off with bits and pieces of the piston and rod
shot of the whole motor. she had a short life. :wtc:
another shot of the valve.
