Never heard of it producing results like that. I doubt it does anything more than just clean the air sensor. It could actually damage the sensor, if the chemicals are even the slightest bit abrasive.

I wouldn't recommend doing it to any MAS.

well if you had a MAF sensor it may do something. But all the MAP sensor is doing is reading a pressure, spraying some crap on it won't do anything, if anything you may damage the pressure sensor by soaking it.

Yeah... the D17A2 doesn't have a MAF sensor... it uses the MAP sensor... like Boilermaker said.

thats why he got the cleaner. K&N ona subaru wagon. his mass air flow was hella messed up. cleaning the sensor gave him back the power that the k&n lost.

Well, eh, not really.

If for some reason a MAF is clogged with crap, cleaning it will make a difference, albeit a small one.

our shop delivery van is 10 years old, and a good shot of MAF sensor cleaner freed up 12 WHP. and yes, we dynoed it. smokin151 meant MAP on the first part, because MAF's dont read baro pressure. harsh chemicals can ruin the pressure wafer in MAP's stay away from it.
