Hi all, I was a member of this site years ago when I had an EG but I forgot my username and pw (and I started modding my bimmer) so here I am with a new one. First of all, I have an 01 EX 5spd.



My keyless entry stopped flashing its lights and the horn stopped working when I press the lock button. The door still locks and unlocks normally and the panic feature still works (horns blaring). When the doors are locked, the horn usually goes off when I open the trunk but it doesnt anymore. I bought a new battery and the remote battery is new. I checked all the fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel and all is good. I reprogrammed my remote and it works fine. I dunno WTF is going on! My headlights, turn signals, tail lights, interior lights are all working normally. I tried turning the valet mode on and off, auto to manual mode, etc. and nothing is working to make my lights flash when I press the lock button. It is starting to **** me off. How do I fix this ****? Please help. Thank you!

I have searched all 5 pages with the keyword "keyless entry" in this em2 section and didnt find a similar issue.

Thanks for trying but I read that. If you read my original post, I have tried disabling the valet mode and it still doesnt work.

I did read it, and I did see that part. I wasn't sure if you had read that particular post, or had followed the procedure correctly. (and that thread has a link to the guide) Why it's not solving your problem, is beyond me.
