Immobilizer failure--Need Override code
I have a 2005 Honda Civic Value package 4 door sedan with an immobilizer issue. It will not start with either of my two factory keys and the green key light is blinking. It has been blinking recently when I have been driving, but now it will not start. I have read online that there is a brake override specific to my VIN, however the dealer disputes this.
Can anyone help me out?

Re: Immobilizer failure--Need Override code
You do need to get the ecu flashed to match the keys or have the system fixed properly but you should be able to go to a dealership and obtain a code for emergency purposes to get you to start the car.

I found this information. I've never had to do this but I've seen it online in various forms over the years.
