Upgrade parts? Gas prices are killing me and i think is a wise investment. My car is stock.

well, Not much. Japanese cars i think come very well equipped with gas mileage numbers as the come from the factory. Perhaps a K&N, decent exhaust, and keep a good tune up on the car is the best thing you could do to any car. Othere than that, maybe an octane booster and driving with a lighter right foot always helps.

Plus if youre in an 04 LX, and not getting any more than 30-40 mpg, something is wrong.

On my 05 LX sedan, I did just an AEM intake and can get 40mpg on the highway all day long.

Not sure what it was all stock, but the AEM couldn't have hurt anything.

I recently have been getting 37mpg consistently. I inflated my tires to 35-37psi, drive 60mph on the freeway, and don't drive short trips (less than 2 miles).

acually our cars are more towards emissions rather than gas milages. It runs richer than you think so that it gets better exaust emissions and less engine wear over the years. Im looking into mpg too, the Apexi SAFC II costs around $330 and its a computer that adjusts your air to fuel ratio.

keeping in mind i really have no idea what im talking about, im gonna paint a ugly picture to give you a understanding. Your stock air to fuel ratio is probably 10:1 or 11:1, thats 11 air molecules to one gas molecule, (very rich). You can use to SAFC to tune your air to fuel ratio higher to 12:1, 13:1, even 14:1 with super gas.

there are lots of pros and cons, so research it before doing it.
Ofcorse Intake, header, downpipe, exaust, tires/rims and N/A build ups will gain gas milage, if your spark plugs have over 100,000 miles replace them with the most expensive.
