if your trying to make your CEl come on..unplug any sensor.
if your tryign to make your CEl go away temp.. unplug your ecu fuse.
if your tryign to diag your CEL...you need an obd 2 scanner.

When you driving the car in 5th gear at 90mph, drop it into first gear. You will throw a cell then!
No Don't do that, just un-plug any sensor i.e. camshaft pos, Intake Air Temp etc
Mac Tools do a really good obd2 scanner that isn't that expensive.

I'm confused here. You want the CEL to come on? Just unplug the primary O2 sensor. Instant CEL.
Like everyone else said... if you need to read a code, get an OBDII scanner. Autozone will pull codes for free.
