Default help on RPM

okay i want to know if the rpm is at 1000 rpm when starting up your car but, for mine it is at 300 to 400 rpm. it makes the car sound like its going to die. if anyone can help.

Are you talking about idle RPM?

if you are asking about idling, it should idle around 800rpms once warmed up...probly about 13-1400 when cold....

is it idling that low once completely warmed up??
