hey guys i have a 05 honda civic ex sedan.
i just got the car and they didn't have a keyless entry remote so i'm gonna buy me one of those.

BUT!

my current problem is that when i use the lock/unlock switch located on the drivers door, the unlock works on all the doors and then the LOCK works on all the doors except the drivers door. the lock thing that goes up and down on the drivers thing kinda moves as if it wants to go down but never does. when i try to manual press it down with my finger it doesn't go down either.

so the ONLY way that i can lock my car is to close the drivers door stick my key in the door and turn the lock manually with my key.

how in the world do i fix this.... = /

My car does the same thing. Does it lock only when the driver door is shut?

If you want to lock the door while it is open, try hitting the "lock" button then quickly pulling the inside handle.

I do this sometimes to manually lock my driver side door.

This is a design feature on the 7th Gen to keep people from accidentally locking their keys in.

The front door will ONLY lock when closed. All other doors will lock either opened or closed. This is true using the door button, power locks, remote, or the key.

PITA, you just have to deal with it.

try pulling and holding the inside lever and manually pushing the lock down kinda like the guy said . thats what i do. works everytime.
