Does any one have pics of the stock headers and stock cat back system for 2005 civic two door coupe? Thanks this would really help me out alot. I ordered one from a company who wants pics to insure that they sent me the wrong headers and cat back system. Emailing me would be great . rabbitonthemoon18@yahoo.com Thanks again in advance! i hope this company fixes my issue

Wow, that post was from almost two years ago. lol

Nope, I didn't have any issues. Shipping was really fast, too.

Looks like they're out of stock, though. http://www.gripmotorsports.com/pi~pn...stem-1181.html

Default Ebay catback and header

Ok so i am working a a car and doind a upgrade to this car. The catback and header was ordered from ebay but for some odd reason the header is not the cat/header one and has the O2 post missing. not to mention the front pipe to the cat back does not follow up all the way to where the oem stock cat/header is. Did i truly get the wrong item or is it for a different model? Am I supposed to do custom mod to this "direct bolt on" set up? Thanks in advance for your help. I am also talking to the vendor to get this issue fixed or refunded . Im in need of pics of the stock setup mounted on the car as well from header to muffler if any one has them thanks!

Sounds like you bought an EX header and catback when you should have ordered one for an LX/DX.

The LX/DX has the combination exhaust manifold / catalytic converter. The downpipe and catback are also going to be different between the two. (ex vs. lx/dx)

The Sponsor Marketplace is a good place to start. https://honda-tech.com/forums/sponsor-marketplace-134/

They tend to have fair prices and/or discounts for H-T members.

Other than that, it's pretty much a matter of Google-ing until you find the price you like most. I haven't bothered looking for an exhaust since I purchased a WS2, years ago.

Default EM2 Exhaust Input!

Looking at getting an exhaust for my em2. Has the stock d17a2 in it and was just looking for some input on the exhaust. Should i do headers first and then an exhaust or does it matter? I would like a higher pitch more raspier sound and was wondering what ppl had on their em2 and how it sounded or what you would recommend? I am on a budget so nothing ridiculously pricey. This is the type of sound I am going for...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc-pOu9F2ss

Like I said I like the raspier higher sound.. some may call it "ricey" lol
Please no hating im simply just looking for some advice/reccomendations

My advice? Don't waste your money, has no purpose but to add a stupid loud noise.

Forewarning:
You won't see any power increases for bolt-ons that are worth noting. You'll certainly hear changes in the car's operational noises... but that's really all that you'll experience.

This is magnified by the fact that you do not have VTEC. You could do a head swap, and try to coax a little more power out of the engine, but you're looking at a decent amount of work for 10whp.

Icon2 Magnaflow cat a little too loud for my taste

I recently had a new magnaflow cat installed on my 01 EX with 117K. It has this deep sound that seems to be coming from right under the front seats, sometimes it is hard to tell though.

Anyways, I'm looking for a way to silence that noise as much as possible.

Any suggestions?

Pull the carpets up and put some dynamat (or equivalent) on the floors, or get rid of the magnaflow and install a new or a low-mileage used OEM cat.

As long as the Oxygen Sensor and Catalytic Converter are in working order and there are no exhaust leaks, the Check Engine Light should be able to be reset.

sure? when i rebuild it the last time the light goes away from its own i needn't the reset something. but when there is no cat. a the gases can flow through without any drag, it's clear that the engine light begins to glow.
but if i reset it, the main problem isn't anway. and the light will come again, didn't it?

Without the Catalytic Converter, your secondary Oxygen Sensor will not read properly and thus creates the Check Engine Light. And, since the codes are stored within the ECU, they need to be cleared once the problems have been resolved. It's not difficult to clear the codes, you just need an OBD2 code reader.

or is there a way to make something with the second oxygen sensor, that it don't measure the whole flow and i can dupe the sensor

You could try and run a pair of spark plug defoulers (one drilled out to clear the sensor, and one to space the sensor from the piping). Or, you could use a J-shaped sensor spacer (they're available on ClubRSX). But, there are also oxygen sensor simulators out there as well (they have been known to fail, though).

I don't know what your local emissions departments say, but this is an illegal method to go about the method of eliminating the catalytic converter.

my local emissions departments are even more strict than in USA, but i don't care. in my village cops are not this clever. but i think the easiest method is the first, to clear the codes in ECU.

If you get tired of that and want stock but a little more umph and some looks, go with custom RSX-s, like the one I have now.

Will the rsx-s directly fit?

Nope. It'd have to be extended after the muffler element and in the midpipe.
