► EM2/ES1/ES2 Civic Exhaust Thread (Questions, comments, etc.)

Re: Exhaust question
After looking, you'd definitely have to do some fab-work. On the D17A1 (LX/DX) exhaust, there is no flange or separation between the resonator and the header, the whole downpipe/mid-pipe is one piece, so you'd have to cut the LX exhaust and weld a flange to it in order to use the EX catback. My apologies for not looking first.

Greddy Catback
I have a 01 EM2 and was wondering if it would be any different if I bought a 93 civic Greddy Catback and installed it to mines? I was planning to just wield it in. I'm getting it off craigslist.

Re: ► The Official Exhaust Thread (Questions, comments, etc.)
You'll have to do a bit of modification.
Can you use the cat-back? No.
Can you use the muffler? Yes, but you'll need to make new hangers and cut/weld the exhaust pipe to fit your car.

Pretty sure the mufflers are the same regardless of model year. As noted, it's going to take some work to get it to fit correctly. (new hangers, modification of exhaust pipe, etc.)

you can get a vibrant stealth for 97 bucks and have the rest of your money to get it welded on.

I know you get what you pay for but i would like to cheap out on it.
