At the Honda dealer I go to, major service was $369, with coupon $329 (varies by dealer):

Engine oil and filter - replace
Fluid levels - top off all (things like windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid)
Lube hinges, locks, latches, and hood cable
Front / Rear brakes - visual inspection
Transmission fluid - drain & refill
Lights - check operation
Clutch - adjust if applicable
Battery posts - inspect & clean
Fuel lines, tank, lines & connections - inspect
Spark plugs - replace (except platinum plugs)
Distributor cap & rotor - inspect (at my dealership, both replaced every 30,000 miles)
Tires - balance rear tires and rotate to front; adjust pressure & inspect tire wear pattern
Coolant system - Check level & test protection (at my dealer, coolant is changed)
Wiper blades - check operation & wear
Park brake - adjust & lube as needed
Front/Rear disc calipers & hoses
Air filter - inspect (at my dealer, filter is replaced)
Exhaust system - inspect
Suspension, struts & steering - inspect
Adjust valve clearance if applicable
Brake Fluid - replace and bleed system

to me...i dunt trust the dealership much...sometimes seems they dunt even do a good job or replace everything you need......sometimes they claim to replace parts for u...but it ends up they dunt...honda dealership charges alot for little service.....not worth it for dealership.......

the dealer is seriously a rip off for a tune up. if you have worked on your car before, i'd just suggest you do the following for a tune-up:

change oil
change spark plugs
change coolant
drain/refill tranny fluid
rotate tires
inspect brakes/clean/replace if necessary
change brake fluid if dirty

if you look at that list of the "major tune-up above, its mostly a bunch of "inspections", so depending on the dealer and if they're lazy (which they are most of the time), they probably wont even fix any of the listed "inspected" items. besides, my list covers a lot more maintainance than the dealer lists and you'll save money doing it yourself.

oh yea, our cars dont have spark plug wires, distributors, or distributor rotors. the EM2 has direct ignition so no need for that.

True. I used to work at Nissan. Same ****. Waste of money for customers. Free money for the Flat Rate guys + The Dealer.
