Cruise Control Problem
I’m a new owner of a stock 2001 EX Sedan 5 speed. I’m having problems with my cruise control. I’ve only used it twice since I bought it. Now it is not working and I can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. The cruise control master switch button lights up but when I push the set button it won’t set. I looked to see if there is a cruise control fuse in the manual but found nothing. What fuse should I check? Has anyone run across this problem before? How should I go about getting this fixed? Is it ok for me to unplug the battery?

Re: Cruise Control Problem
check on the clutch pedal and see if the rubber bump stop is broken. something is the system is open (ie) brake/clutch switch or the cruise control accuator is failed or unpluged.

Re: Cruise Control Problem
^He's right, there's a sensor which is associated with the clutch pedal, if the cruise control system thinks that the clutch is depressed, then it won't activate. I had a similar problem right after I had a security system installed with a remote start. The installer forgot to bypass the clutch sensor.

Re: Cruise Control Problem
I found out that mine take about 45 sec in order to set it. I’m guessing it doesn’t work like other cars I have driven before where you can set it at any time. Thanks again for everyone help.
