carbon fiber trunk help

Default carbon fiber trunk help

i've got a carbon fiber trunk on my coupe, is there anything I can do so that when i go to pop the trunk it does not shoot up? doe they make trunk shocks or something like they have on the 4doors?

I am having the same problem. But I was told they have shocks that are made for the trunk.

Take off the spring or shorten it's travel length... OOOORRRRRRR

Weight it down.... I think you should weight it down.... (that's sarcasm btw)

I had the same problem when I installed my carbon fiber trunk on my coupe. I removed 1 spring problem solved

put dynamat underneath but then whats the point of a cf trunk if your gona weigh it down lol

Take the springs out. You'll have to lift the trunk open but it's carbon fiber, so the effort is minimal.
