The brake fluid absorbs moisture. At best this would lead to corrosion of internal metal parts. At worst, the fluid would boil during a high brake temperature panic stop resulting in an awful crunch noise.
Honda recomends flushing the fluid at least every 3 yrs/ 36,000 miles.

but to add on
brake fluid should be changed or flushed every time you do the brakes thats the best
