Default AEM Cam Gear

hey guys I have a 01 Civic Ex I have the basic stuff Intake, exhaust ect.... i'm in the process of doing the cam gear it's AEM but alot of people tell me diffrent stuff some people tell that after i do the cam gear I have to tune other people tell me that all i have to do is set the cam gear to 2 or 3 deegres can somebody help me out here....

Its really a useless mod for a stock motor. I know of one person who picked up something from adjusting the cam angle, and it was on a far from stock motor. If you intend to get something out of it, you're gonna have to do a bunch more work, and get the thing tuned.

that's not true cause my freind has a sentra spec-v stock and thats the first thing he did and that bitch is running

if you are planning on installing a cam gear you need to get some tuning done..you might be able to do it 2 or 3 degrees but I would not recommend it unless you are tuned. If you want to gain hp on a stock d17 you best idea would be to get K-Pro with the cam gear they give you. The stock motor can make 20-30 extra HP with the K-Pro..

Keep in mind these are interference motors, it's really easy to bend a valve.
