Default 2002 Civic EGR Valve

Hey group,

I went to the emissions today and failed. So I took my car to AutoZone to read my error code and they informed me that an error code for a EGR valve is what came up. Well my question is where is the EGR valve located on this year and model. (02 civic Lx). My mechanic informed me that there is no EGR valve. If you can help me out here I would greatly appreciated it.

Next time, ask the Autozone mechanic to point out the EGR valve on your LX. Might take him a while.

Thanks guys,

Well I'm not sure what the code # was but what do you think it could be? I'll go back to AutoZone and have them give me the code and maybe this will help out some.
