2001 honda civic EX - How do i remove the passenger seat?
2001 Honda Civic EX 2dr
How do i remove the passenger seat? i'm trying to slide it off the rails but something is stopping it from being slid all the way forward. i would like to refrain from unbolting the posts for safety concerns. if thats the only way, then pls let me know.
i need to move some long stuff and it would help if that passenger seat wasnt there.
thanks.

Only way I know is to remove the 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor. Make sure you get the electrical connections under the seat (seatbelt indicator) before you lift the seat out.

don't forget to remove the seatbelt electrical plugs. if you disconnect the seat and drive with it out, you WILL trip the SRS light on the dash.
Whats the safety concern with unbolting it? There's nothing special about the bolts, they're not locking bolts... they go right back in, as long as they're tight, theres no problem.
