2001 civic ex bat light on still.
Anyone, have an issue with there light staying on?
Just replaced the altenator new and battery was load tested checked out good.
Was looking at some trouble shooting in 2000 civic manual. It looks too be the same wiring alt hookup BLU/W G/W R/W BL/Y four pin connector.
It say's too disconnect the B/W pin3 of the four pin that's blue and white in case you need the color code and reconnect the four pin back on the alt and see if the light goes out because their could be a short too ground.
I guess it's from the other side of the battery light on before the altenator.
I can't see a new alt regulator being the problem.
I just hate to cut that BLU/W to disconnect it fron the alt.
Any idea's?

Did you already turn it off and then it came back on again, or are you trying to turn it off?
The memory module is behind the fuse box panel, it's a yellow two wire plug.

It just constantly stays on. Liike their is a short.
The memory module would keep the alt light from going out?

Same problem here. I have a 2001 civic ex 2dr and my battery light has been on since I bought the car about 4 months ago and I have been having some bogging problems, not sure if it is related to that or not. I replaced my battery and my alternator, put in a new ground cable. Still a battery light?! My gauge lights also dim when i accelerate and brighten when i let off?

some alternators are not properly rebuilt (i know for a fact Delco ones) and the light will not go off although the alt works. is your alternator aftermarket?

Did you end up finding the problem??
I have the same thing going on with my car. My battery light is on and i jst replaced the Alt and bettery.
They both are charging at the spec where the light should be off.
I checked the fuses and everything seems to be good.
I have no idea what to look at next and the light will not go off

I've had it at the Dealer as a last resort they found I had a defective transmission selector switch not related but fixed the shift problem and SRS update or recall which is why the SRS light was on constantly.
If they had more time they could have taken the gauge panel out and checked the wiring to the bulb and from it for a short I suppose.
Anyway, I still have the same problem I'll look in to it further after I replace my TDC sensor.

I had the same issue and i took it to my mechanic and it ended up being a bad battery pole, it was making a spark someone along the line and caused the ecu to think my alternator was going. SO check you harness to the battery make sure there is no corrosion or cut wires, or bad battery poles.
