~~~~Clutch Replacement cost? mileage?
Hey guys I am lookin at picking up a 2002 Civic and I am curious what I could expect to pay for an OEM clutch replacement
Honda quoted me $1100
Just got off the phone with PepBoys and they quoted $690
what are you guys finding?
also how long do you they typically last...the clutch is working fine for now but it's pushing 100k on the stock clutch. I had heard they usually last about 120k or so depending on driving etc.
thanks!
Re: ~~~~Clutch Replacement cost? mileage?
I had a del sol that lasted until 164k on original clutch. It all depends on how you drive. If you do a lot of city driving it will wear out faster than if you drive on the highway a lot.
Re: ~~~~Clutch Replacement cost? mileage?
i just replaced mine at 115,000 km's
it wasnt gone but it was going, if i had left it i could have pushed it to about 130,000 km's maybe more
anyway i got a OEM replacement from NAPA, its an Exedy clutch, cost me $302 taxes included, Canadian $$$.
if you get a Honda clutch you'll pay out your a$$ for it.
Re: ~~~~Clutch Replacement cost? mileage?
My clutch went out after 60,000 miles...You can get a good performance clutch online for around $200-400 than just pay for install. If you are going to replace it why not replace it with a better aftermarket clutch and lightweight flywheel...It will be the same price and work better and last longer...
