Default Yonaka Ronin Seats

These seats seem to be the best ITR Recaro replica's.... but should i go with cloth or suede? Cant decide...suede is about $100 more.

Cloth

Suede

You may want to pass on the seats or at least find some to sit in first. Cheaper seats tend to be flimsy, have poor adjustment mechanisms, come apart at the stitches. Some are fine, however. I've never seen any of these particular seats in person. If they are ok I'd opt for the suede

Well up here in Canada its impossible to find real ITR Recaros in good shape for under $1000.

From searching on the internet from what i could find they are durable, and comfortable... Ive seen some sell on here and was hoping someone had something to say from personal experience.

I have some of these. They were in my buddies car for a while, now in mine. No tears but one of the stitches was too long so I thought it was coming apart but it was just a bad end to the sewing. I like them, and I picked mine up for 150 so I said why not

i would rather have one nice, quality, reclinable name brand seat on the driver side, than a knock off on both sides. its not the name stitched on the seat as much as it is peace of mind that its not going to break in a crash, or tear on the bolsters in a month.

Mine are cloth, I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. Like "What." said, I would also rather have one nice quality seat. I would have done so if I didn't get such a good deal on these for now. If you have the money for one nice seat, that's your best bet

Well once I buy the set of these ronins, i can sell one of them and sell the 2 seats i currently have, and then have enough money for a decent used Recaro/Bride etc.

They come with a lifetime warrenty on the frame. I know that doesn't really prove that its high quality, but I would use them. I still like the real Recaro best cause I like the suede/tweed combination and I would save for a real set of Recaro. My two cents.

Well now im kind of wondering... i cant find any close-ups of the Yonaka's... but the NRG seats have a texture to them that i like.... (see pic)

Zuruk, are the yonaka's like the picture? or is the cloth nice and smooth?

Thanks.

The NRG shoulder support looks like its shaped really weird...i dont know if its just from pictures but it doesnt look right.

The shape of the Yonaka's shoulders look more like the itr recaros...

Were they cloth? Do you remember what the fabric was like?

I would try to find some used DC2 Recaros instead, but if you are set on those, I like the tweed ones better.

I've had those Yonaka seats and now I have the real DC2 Recaros. DO NOT BUY THOSE SEATS!!! They are a waste of money. The back lower part sticks out incorrectly and will cause you to have back pain. I got the black leather ones and the leather was very cheap and thin. On hot days, it felt like the leather was going to melt off or if I pulled on it, it would peel off. Also, if you plan to use the stock seat belts, there is no where to bolt the stock belt clip into on the seat because there is no hole or bolt around that area strong enough to hold it. I'm telling you, save your money and get the real deal because now that I have the real deal....I can totally tell the difference and the real ones are way better....

The seats were cloth. The center part seemed kind of loose but the stitches on the side bolsters were as good as they can get.

I know this is an old thread but I have had the Yonaka seats in my car for 2 years now. I bought the red suede & I have had no problems what so ever. I'm about to reupholster them with seuede & jersey material in the center.
