Re: Where to mount VAFC (dirtySOHC's)
wow thats clever. That looks a pain though! I'm getting a vafc very soon as well. Does anyone know of a place where they give instructions to install this? I'm not sure if i should do it myself, i'm not very electronically advanced. Mounting place will be on the top of my priority list after getting the thing to work.

Re: Where to mount VAFC (B-18C1)
Ok,
Well what I did is, I bought a headliner and passanger and driver side visors from an integra at the junk yard than I took it all over to a appholestry shop where they recovered everything and put that vafc and a halmeter into the drivers side visor all that cost me $210.
Than what I did is I had to extend all of those wires by about 4 feet and rout them to the passanger side and down that piller because I have a 3 gauge pillar pod on the drivers side and its already got a lot of wires running down it so I didn't wanna make a bigger mess....
All in all It cost me $210 for the appholestry $300 vafc and $130 for the halmeter so $640 for all that and it took a couple of hours to get the wires extended and of course the time it took me to splice up the vafc...

Re: Where to mount VAFC (MrSmith)
MSD does NOT stand behind their warranties if their is any way around it... Mount it somewhere that you KNOW it won't get wet. I'd suggest in the passenger compartment on the firewall.
Awesome moutning job. Any tips or tricks to help out on the install? I plan in doing that same thing and actually just posted in the apperance forum asking for some help. Did you just use glue to mount the VAFC? Thanks

Yeah, at the moment the person that I bought it from had the MSD just laying on the passenger side. I bought the BTM and I'm selling the 6A. I'm probably going to do what you're talking about and try to mount it up on the firewall out of the way and out of my passengers feet.

The Vafc and the Halmeter are both held by doublestick tape and it has worked for a while now....
Thanks,
