Then in that case your Si clone is worth $10000+.

An EX coupe already has air conditioning, power steering, power windows and cruise control.

I would still not yet call this an Si clone.

A clone to me has to be almost dead on as far as what it's imitating.

Some things that might have been overlooked.

Engine
Transmission
Paint (Granada Black versus Flamenco Black)
Front Grille (you have a standard coupe/hatch grille)
Sideskirts (yours look unpainted)
Muffler Garnish (okay, you say you replaced the muffler altogether)
Quarter Panel Stickers ("DOHC VTEC")
Seats (your headrests don't look right from the pics, but it could be the angle)
Leather Shift ****
Leather Shift Boot
Front Tweeters
Rear Disc Brakes
13mm Rear Sway Bar
26mm Front Sway Bar (new shock forks and LCAs needed for this IIRC)
Front Upper Strut Bar

Picture is a bit old, I already added the Si Grill. My sideskirts are painted, I also added the dohc vtec stickers, my seats are Si seats but I put the stock headrests cause the Si one was uncomfortable to me. I have the leather shift boot with a skunk2 weighted shiftknob. As far as the system I have an Alpine stereo with front tweeters, 2 mids, 2 highs. I do have the 13mm rear sway bar and a Mugen strut bar.

As far as the engine and transmission its a B16A2 stamped from a 2000 Si.

Dude stop, seriously. What you have is a modded Civic EX, not an Si, not an "Si clone". Look up the KBB based on what your car is (from the factory) and add what you think the mods are worth (if that's too tough maybe your 21+ friends can give you some advice in between buying you beer). I wouldn't pay a dime over $3500 myself but I'm not the Kelley Blue Book, but seeing as though I wouldn't expect to sell my factory built GSR for more than 6k I wouldn't pay any more for a modded EX, with a swap and cluster swap performed under unknown circumstances.

P.S. I hope the mileage is what the previous owner said it is, that's the biggest factor in the value of your car.

Your opinion is what it is, but what the hell is up with people bringing up age. Just an fyi im 23 years old so I don't need anyone buying me beer. OK so I will quit calling my car an Si clone, and just call it an EX with a b16a2 swap. Is that better for you? All I asked was for peoples opinion on what the car was worth. I didn't ask for people to come in here and talk ****. The only thing I got from your post is learning your a douche bag.

Ehh, the value other people put on your car doesn't matter unless you actually want to sell it.

I don't want to sell my car. If I wanted to try to be even slightly realistic to myself about what I would value you car at for me I would still price it higher than most people would probably price it. $8,000-$9,000 at least.

I love my car and like I said, I don't want to sell it. So what others think of my pretend price really doesn't matter. I'm not trying to sell it to them.

I know that to a lot of people my car is just a '98 Civic EX coupe with ~157,000 miles on it, but to me it's more. Six years of ownership, a trip across the US, lots of learning and being extremely picky about my mods. It's not just a car to me. It's a hobby. I've totally bonded with this car.

I put mine on craigslist just to see what I could get for it. I got a couple offers so I was amused. I'm pretty stuck on my car though and have no plans of selling it anytime soon.

Throw it on there and see what you get.

I think that 3500 is very reasonable if you were going to sell it. I think its worth close to 5k but you are not going to get that if you try to sell it now due to the economy and all.

It has been established long ago that most(all) honda owners are douche bags.

I think shes talking about the OEM tweeters that go on doors, not your own custom tweeters.

That Mugen strut bar isnt adding to the value, or your Si "clone". Get an OEM Si/GSR strut bar and call it a day.

yall have two pages of bullshit about a car that isnt yours, and all the OP asked was how much do you think its worth. Dont rag this guy about it being a "clone" if you are, go find everyone else on this forum and tell them the same thing they are doing. I say 4500..

It being a "clone" and not a real Si has a lot to do with the value of the car.

Let me put that another way. It being a 1996 EX coupe and not a 2000 Si coupe has a lot to do with the value of the car.

He is being singled out because he's the one who came on and said, "My car is an Si clone. How much is it worth?"

He asked us to pick apart his car. That's what he's going to get.

In the end though, the mods don't really matter that much. This car might as well be described as, "I have a 1996 EX coupe with 95,000 miles on the chassis and about 80,000 miles on the engine (B16A2 swap). The car is lightly modded and has had the front end replaced for cosmetic reasons, not because of an accident or theft."

I'm still very confused why the owner mentioned the mods, which don't affect the value of the car too much, but left out the unusually low mileage of the car, which is much more likely to affect the value.

:sigh: being an owner if an EM1, it makes me cringe as why someone would "transfer" most (if not all) EM1 parts into another civic. i say post a picture of the transmission to see if the vin is still attached or not.
