CAR IS DONE! CHECK PAGE 15!!

So, I got this car about 2 years ago. At first I had no plans for it, but then I started reading magazines, talking with friends and I started to like the idea of body kits/etc and what not, so I got some Z3 Fenders and an R34 bumper and had plan to finish it off with some other pieces. Then I found Honda-Tech.

I started visiting this site frequently. Not only did I learn a lot about my car, and about Hondas in general, but I also caught a nasty case of the JDM bug. So I started reading more on it and what not and started to like to look of lips, 15 inch wheels, that sort of thing. I had started collecting random JDM parts, headlights, corner pieces, etc.. And then the unthinkable happened.

One 1/3 of this year, I was driving to my girlfriends house and my car was making this werid windy noise. I thought it was a belt, pump or something and I'd check it when I got home. It was an automatic and it was shifting funny, I really didn't put the noise and that together at the time. My girlfriend lived on a hill and as I was driving up, my car totally lost power to the wheels. . I got it to like 4000 on my tach and I went nowhere, then I knew my automatic tranny had went.

I never figured out why, I always changed the fluid regulary, althought it did have 150k miles on it. So, I shopped around and some shop wanted $2000 to put ANOTHER automatic tranny in it, I said expletive that and started thinking about the idea of a tranny swap, and I read that it wasn't all that big of a process, although it had a lot of parts needed I felt that I could definitely get it done.

Here are some pictures of my car, from the past and present. At the time right now, I'm obviously doing the tranny swap, it probably could've been done sooner, but I needed to buy a 2nd car so I could get around, and I probably could've spent my money better..

Before.

Now.

I should have a lot of fun with it. I only need a new auto/tranny mount and a manual p28 ECU.
Okay guys, still no lip . And I'm still scraping together the last few parts I need to complete the parts list, which include a manual shifter console peice in black, and bushings for the linkage.

Although, I took some misc. pictures today and thought I'd share..

Woot!! 5 lug!!!

Ahh.. Only 4..

Hopefully everything will be together soon.

Alright guys.. I got my new wheels in from Machiii.com. Great customer service, great price, great people.

I wasn't planning on buying tires today, but when I saw the wheels I almost creamed my jeans. I think it flows SOO well with my car, and I'm a huge fan of the lip and the 4 spokes.

Also, my lip should be here next week, and the car should be driveable in 2 weeks!!

Comments welcome as always!!

My lip finally came in guys so I decided to throw it on this weekend!!

And for giggles, a cute picture of my puppy.

Also, feel free to check out my install/review on this lip:
https://honda-tech.com/zeropost?cmd=fshow&id=28

Okay guys!! I finally got it off to the shop to get swapped! I'm so happy, my car has been dead since 1/3/05 year and I should be getting it back the middle of next week!!

I took off the front end (bumper, headlights and corners) because I didn't want anything to get damaged while it was getting towed.

Here I am removing my passenger seat so I could fit all the small parts in there.

Here I am whoring out my imaginary RHD EG6 in my garage!

All the parts are inside my car now, and there is that dreaded AT that will soon be removed!

Here is the JDM s20 tranny that'll be getting put in! That thing was heavy.

Here she is with the front end gone to avoid being damaged while being towed.

There she is getting towed away from my house to the shop.. FINALLY!!

While the tow jack was going under the front, it rubbed a little but nothing major.

Damn that bitch is low. As it was getting towed into the shop, the muffler got squished between the sidewalk and car.

Bye bye!! Next time I'll see you, I can drive you!!

Comments welcome as always!!

I still don't have the car back . This time due to the cotter pin that connects to clutch pedal to the master cylindar and 1 starter bolt. Although, even when that's done I think I'm gonna get it out this coming Friday due to financial reasons.

Either case, here is a teaser picture..

Okay, guys I finally got her back. After 8 months of not driving her, she's finally done. I had a lot of fun driving her around today. I took some pictures as well.

The owner.

Enjoy guys!! Comments welcome as always!

FINALLY got the internet back at my house and I've got some new pictures of what I've done to the beast..

More pictures to come!! This car is coming along better than I thought it ever would!!

More new pictures. I was planning on getting Integra cloth seats, but I got a really good deal on the GS-R black leather seats. Also, an off brand CF hood, and JDM climate control.. Enjoy!

Installed my shocks this weekend, and lowered it a little more! Enjoy!!

I've been collecting a few stickers and throwing them on the car..

My dash is finally done. I got an ITR radio for Christmas, and I picked up a DIN block off plate. Enjoy.

I haven't updated this in a while.. I've been really busy, with work and well more work. And my computer broke, so I got some new pictures of the stuff I took pictures of. And also, I have one part that is coming later this week.. All I can say is I'm going 'wingless'.

I got the Megan Drift Spec exhaust. Overall, this exhaust fits very nicely and sounds great, looks good too. However, it hangs low after the cat which causes it to scrape badly. I also got an Omni camber kit as well as JDM thin side moldings,

Here is a funny picture of me getting off my old 'one-peice' exhaust. It was one entire piece from the cat to the muffler. I got it off without dropping the LCA.

Finally got my trunk guys.. I'll have pictures of it on later today.

Here's the finished product with the new trunk on.

Before:

And after:

Thanks for looking!!

Picked this up recently, I'll have pictures when it's on.

Haha, a little bit. I recently got a promotion at my office, I love my job so much! Other than that, life is good. Would be better with a good girl in my life, however; that would make life perfect.

Getting back on topic.. Here are some more pictures of my car with some more parts I've added on, and random shots of my interior. The following parts are:

-Omni camber kit
-Mugen shift ****
-Integra Type R shift boot
-EDM rear fog light

Thanks for looking! Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!

I finally started the body work on this beast today. I'm planning to install rear ferio door handals (no keyhole). However, only one of the bolts lines up. So, I'll need to modify them. I'll have a write up later. Now for the pictures. I did a pretty shitty job primering my fenders, I need to add more coats.

I'm sanding the entire car down by hand, I'm also planning to put on JDM thin side moldings that I have waiting.

Before:

And after:

Right now I'm feeling iffy about this. But, in the end I know it will turn out good.

I finished sanding the passenger side door today. As it turned out, I'm not going to be able to use the rear ferio handals. I'm just filling the keyholes on mine.

Now for the pictures:

More new pictures. I got my door handles in, I filled the keyholes in them and plan to do the same for my trunk keyhole peice. These door handals were the biggest bitch to get back in. Jesus Christ, that was easily the most difficult part of this whole project.

Special thanks to BuilttB18C5 (my brother) for all of his help on this.

Enjoy! Comments welcome as always!

Alright guys, time for another update. I picked up some replica Spoon mirrors from JDMSh!t.com. Again, they get another from me. These mirrors fit and look great. I had to use the back of my OEM mirrors (the part with that the screws connect to) on this one to make them fit stellar. I also used the gasket as well.

I finished sanding the the diriver side door and started on the A pillar on both sides of the car. I also added another coat of primer to each of the fenders. I only did a few hours of work today, but I'll be putting a full day in tomorrow. Hopefully finishing the roof and starting the rear quarter panels.

Thanks for looking again, and I really can't thank you guys for all the support and props you're giving me. Kind words and compliments are worth more to me than trophies.

And a few cute pictures of my dog (Steena Louise) after it's new haircut.

Thanks for looking!

Enjoy the pictures and post up constructive criticism if you have any. Thanks for looking!

Okay guys, I got the majority of both rear quarter panels done tonight, and my roof. I also primerd my lip and my bumper. I'll have more pictures up later on this week. I plan to finish the entire car (body work) come this week. I have a 9 day vacation coming up!

Thanks for looking! Comments welcome as always!

Okay guys, after 4 months; I finally was able to work on my car again. I was really busy with school and work the past few months, but I pulled a 3.9 this quarter in school! I finished sanding the entire car, and started priming it. It was too dark to get good enough shots, but here's what I have:

And a picture of my cluster:

Enjoy!

I finished primering it today, here are the pictures! Comments welcome as always!

Got my hood in today, I'm picking up my car tomorrow morning and I'll tell you how the hood fits.

Constructive criticism welcome as always!

Well, I just picked it up from paint. For the price I paid, it turned out very well.

I'll be picking up the lip, moldings and fog light covers on Monday when they get sprayed.

Thanks for looking!!

Yeah, I thought it was a little both. I would like some insite of problems that may occur when doing this swap. I've read that the intake manifolds are different between manuals/autos but to me the appear to be the same. Can anyone comment on this?

Just gotta wait for tomorrow!

Na, but I would like to know if I'm going to run into any problems while doing this. My buddies and I are gonna throw it together as soon as I get all the parts. If anyone has those parts (p28 virgin manual ecu, auto/manual mount) PM me, I need them.

EJ1 you should do a complete write up on this, take some good pics of the process and write down every step you have to take will probley be very helpful to a few people in the future.

Definitely, I've seen A LOT of threads about this, but I haven't found a good one that actually gave me the info I've needed.

LOL!

Okay, this is what I have so far..

Tranny (JDM S20)
D series Shift linkage
OEM clutch/flywheel
Shifter
Shift ****
Hydraulic Lines
Clutch Resovir
Slave/Master Cylindar
Full manual pedal assembly from an EH2

Now, the other parts you need are:

Manual ECU (for whichever motor your running)
New console piece.
Shiftboot
auto/manual mount

Now, for the mount. You CAN use an OEM manual one, but you WILL HAVE TO WELD IT. The auto/manual ones are a direct bolt up. Now you can get these from jdmshit.com and hasport.com. Hasport is 175 I believe, and JDMshit is 120 shipped, both are good from what I've read.

Oh, and I also have JDM fenders on the way as well. I've been waiting 6 months for them from PasswordJDM. I'm almost getting ready to ask if I can get a substantial discount on them for me waiting for so long.

That's just gonna set me back further..

** UPDATE **

So, I still had some de-ricing to do. I had the 'suicide trunk' conversion that I did a couple years ago, it was time to get rid of it so I put it back to stock.

Then I gave it a bath, she hasn't seen one in 6 months!

I finally got my fenders from PasswordJDM after 6 months of waiting, but it was worth it.

I finally got my front end on too. When I buy my auto/manual mount this week from JDMshit.com, I also plan to get a Mugen V2 style lip.

Hopefully, I'll have the car running within 1-2 months!
