I miss my 93 Eclipse, that car was so fun, me and a mustang did 140 mph on the freeway by my house, he kept ******* with me so i said forget it and tried anyways. I had the 1.8 sohc with a warped head and still was spanking others on the freeway, two DA's, an 01 celica, i think a 98 civic ( it was tight cuz it was a chick and she was tryin so hard) and i think a few others. Nothing but good times in my DSM, got good practice at e-brake turns, came in handy one night in my boys hatch.

Re: Project: 12 Sec Daily Driven DSM (chet)
its been awhile since i last posted...mainly because i'm been really busy trying to get my house prepared for christmas...when my mom, sister, best friend and his parents will be here for dinner.
in any case...the theme today is stainless steel and custom lines...
pictured first is the custom clutch line i had made...since i damaged the original hard line uninstalling the abs lines. i also picked up a set of evo8 injectors.
next, is a picture of the custom oil cooler lines which i had to relocate to accommodate the fmic.
and then, a picture of the driver side goodrich brake line. next...i'll have pics of the rear.

Re: Project: 12 Sec Daily Driven DSM (chet)
its been awhile since i've been able to provide an update...
and its because of the holiday season where hurricane mom came through for over a week.
i've been able to do some routine maintenance on the car...like replacing a rear caliper and other misc odds/ends that do not deserve pics.
today i was able to install the turbo, manifold, o2 housing, lower radiator hose, oil feed line (with inline filter from the oil filter housing), oil return line, brand new water line to thermostat housing, and water feed line to the turbo.
here are a few pics.

Re: (Spec R)
It looks like you found a really clean example of a nice 1g. They are getting harder and harder to find. I miss my old 1g, but a drunk driver took her away from me. Daily drove it everywhere.

see, 1800 dollars and running 12's, and the cars handle great w/ awd. That's why I wanted to jump ship several months ago. However, I can't afford to make an old DSM reliable as a college student.
Bump for you.

Re: (hybridpatient95)
this car has about 8000 dollars into it now...mainly because i'm doing everything the way i've always wanted to do it...
it could be done for less...but that would mean a stock tranny, act clutch, stock center diff, 3bolt rear, get-r-done IC setup, etc, etc.
extremepsi.com is where i picked up the IC...although slowboyracing and others sell a similar core by itself.

a friend of mine just made 405whp in his galant...and backed it up with an 11.4@119mph run...with an evo3 16g and very similar setup.
i'll be using a chipped ecu, afc and alcohol instead of race fuel...and he was running 30psi...with the turbo dropping off to 24psi to redline...but its entirely possible if the setup is working properly.
oh...and a pic of the gf...after hearing that i'll be installing the motor on sunday...instead of spending time with her and some friend of hers...

uh oh no ***** tonite lol
