I will tell you how I do it
wet sand starting with 600 grit and moving to 800, then 1000, then 1500, then 2000
use a little dish soap in the water and dip the paper frequently
after the 2000 grit they will be pretty ****** shiny
use some kind of metal polish (I have tried a bunch of kinds and they all seem to work about the same) to finish it off...

BTW the MF10Ls are drag wheels, only have two for the front of the car they will be running M&H slicks
the rears are circle racing skinnies also polished...
what can I say I like polished stuff

If your talking about only starting on the left side then ending on the right and not coming back sanding then no, i've never had to do that. As long as you don't sand in circles and up down and side to side then you have less problems.

so basicly if im going to go side to side then i need to keep that same direction and not switch up to going up and down correct?

Have you ever tried stripping with aircraft stripper then using steel wool to get the little pieces of paint off a rim. Supposedy that works as well....saves a bunch of time in going up the grits 600-1200, with conventional sanding.
with the steel wool u woudln't get scratches like what sandpaper leaves behind.
