Pics of the rear end of the car. Constructive comments only please.
Ok so I have been working on fitting the rear body kit and trying to get all the body lines working. As most of you know these aftermarket fiberglass parts fit like poop. But if you have some basic body skills and some time on your hands they can be made to fit. I don't recall the name of this back bumper but I have seen many of them on cars and they look bad due to fitament issues. A keen eye will notice I have removed the mesh that is aquainted with what most will call rice. I removed it because it looked like every other rear bumper made like this and because I think it adds a cleaner look.
Please if all you have to say is Rice rice baby or some other childish commment just skip it and move on.
This is not going to be a flame thread.
So be mature if at all possoble.
Thank you.
The exhaust needs to be redone for a better fit. I am working on a sectional tig welded set-up that I can have powder coated.
I rolled the fender lips and smoothed them out for a better finish. The green stuff you see is 3m spot putty that will be sanded slick to clean any imperfections in the bondo.
This is a piece of 1/4 inch round stainless. Due to the shape of the openening it is held in place by the angle of the fiberglass. Kinda like a chinese finger cuff.
You can see in this photo what I am talking about with the exhaust tips. One is sitting lower than the other which makes it look like the openings are not the same shape. Optical illusion. I measured with templates.
The rear wing is a 3D carbon fiber unit. Same as a wings west.
Tag frame is also carbon fiber.
This photo shows the bumper now meeting up with the opening of the fender well. When I got it, it was 1 inch too short to meet the edge. So I built it up with fiberglass to meet the edge and shaped to fit.
The purple trailing arm will be replaced with a black powder coated piece like these.
I am working on making some brembo four piston calipers fit the front and rear.
Have a good one people.

Good to hear you removed the mesh- Now step two is to remove the bumper that is acquainted with being rice...
I can appreciate good hard work, but not if I find the end result to be unappealing..
A for effort I guess?
Nice rotors though....
