I know Spoon was formed in 1988, but when did they introduce the SW388? I thought those were late 90's.

More like early 90s, probably 92 or so. Not 100% period correct, but close enough.

Now when talking about era correct, imho there's a timeline of 4-6years after the car hits the market for the accessories to fit it. So an '88-'91 Hatch could still rock wheels that came out in up to '94ish and still be era correct. I mean it usually takes a few years for the prices of the cars to go down enough for the young guys to buy and modify. That's just my opinion.


Funny thing is, all those wheels were made by top brands of the day and most still hold their cult status. Cant really say the same anymore...

It's ssr longchamp..... I've seen them for sale for a while but I used google to translate from japanese, allways kmow them by speedstars and i've been wrong :\

Think I have the wheel picked out, but just need to decide if I want to look for it in 14" or 15". 14" would be really old-school, but I'm limited on tires and a 14" wheel usually doesn't look quite as good.

14's don't look bad at all especially with a 195/60.
I agree 15's look best though.
