For people who have painted there tail lights all red
First I did a search, and to my surprise I did not find alot of topics about this. Anyways do they fade, and how often do you need to go back and fix them up with paint ? Also what type of paint did you use and was any clear coat applyed ? Thanks

Mine have never faded ....I paid for the expensive transparent **** though thats auactly made for tailights ..Im not sure if theres even a diff though

Mine do fade. It's been 2 years now, and they've turned flat candy apple red.
Back to the drawing board...and a fresh coat of paint.

you can get the paint a hobby shop ... and SPW has it in the catolog . hope it helped .. good luck

Testors Transparent Candy Apple Red, I got it at Wal Mart, for like $2.76
I painted the tails in June of last summer, and so far no fading. gets a big from me

It also depends, I think, on how much you wash your car. I wash mine regularly and I guess it will start to fade faster the more you wash it.
