Default My new project 98 Trans Am

So I finally sold most of the parts to my integra street/strip car as it was becoming more strip than street. I wanted something I could drive cross country, something that sounded mean and that pretty much everyone respected, so I decided on a car that I've wanted literally since they came out in 98.

It's a 98 6 speed w/ 90k miles....

I bought it a week ago, and hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have everything the way I want it. My plans for the car are pretty simple, b/c these cars are so easy to get power from. I'm going to do a 4.10 gear, aftermarket pos unit, line lock, 125 shot, underdrive pulley, cam, and tune. I'm considering a set of black foose nitro wheels in 18" w/polished lip as well.

The only non stock parts on the car as of not are a hurst short shifter and hurst T handle (which i'm gonna switch out for the black round hurst stock style **** that has a nitrous button), and a magnaflow exhaust.

Here are a couple of pics, I'll get more today hopefully... and as of now, that truck is just as fast as my car, haha.

Are those C5 rims? Very nice man. How much did that set you back man? If you don't mind me asking.

Cool T/A man!

However, you insist on getting a line-lock and some other things I wouldnt think of doing at first.

Why not lid/longtubes and head/cam ? Then get HPTuners or LS1edit. /shrugs

I've never been a fan of Ls1's on the bottle, maybe becuase I like the sound of one screaming all motor

Get a 4.10 and a 12-bolt rear end QUICK becuase if you hook hard, that 10-bolt will start cryin for mommy and eventually break

Trans Am's are so much uglier than Camaros. I hate those stupid ******* honey comb tail lights and all the heavy plastic body parts scream white trash IMO. T-Tops don't help the white trash imagine, haha.

Glad you're happy with it.

I'll pass on something like that, though. Doesn't suit my tastes.

Id like to think my friend's car is badass :

Texas Speedshop Magic Stick 3 cam
bbk 80mm TB
LS6 heads(z06)
lid
Longtube headers
true duals (turndown)
HPtuners tuned

Its a badass car, and sounds like it rev's to the moon.

Nice buy, I can't say I'm a fan of those C5 wheels on there though. But it beats another muscle car driving around on torque thrusts.

Everyones too narrow minded, that can will spank 90% of the cars on this website so haters stfu. As for 4.10s, thats way too small of a gear for driving cross country if you want, 3.73s are more what you need if you plan on doing highway. LS6 conversion would be nice though.. But H/C with a tune, LT and duals, you'll be pretty stout. Wont even need the nitrous. But ya go have some LSFun lol.
