My New Beater ('96 Integra GS-R)
Just finished up getting the new daily driver together and it made its maiden voyage under new ownership today. I bought this car from a very close friend that was the second owner and has had the car for the past seven years, got some help from a friend who is learning how to paint and does decent work, and put in some hard work myself. Here is the rundown...
The Vehicle: Grand Prix White 1996 Acura Integra GS-R w/ tan leather interior (~165,000 miles, ~60,000 on new B18C1 motor)
The Details: new paintjob (Honda S2000 Grand Prix White), 98+ front and rear bumpers, shaved "INTEGRA" out of the front and rear bumpers, shaved front license plate mounts, shaved "ACURA" badge from rear, shaved side moldings, shaved rear window washer nozzle, shaved antenna, shaved spoiler, black halo headlights, tint, H&R Sport springs w/ Tokico Blues, Integra Type-R header and full exhaust, short ram intake, Skunk2 shifter and weighted shift ****, 17x7 Shu-4 style wheels (brushed lips, race gold centers)

There is still a lot of little stuff left to do. A wetsand and buff should make it shine twice as much as it is right now fresh out of paint, there is a lot of trim reconditioning that I need to deal with on 165,000 mile trim, the door panels and front seats could use some TLC, etc. Its getting there though.
Although I've always liked nicely done cars of all makes and models, it does feel funny driving around in a modified import since everything else I've owned that hasn't been bone-stock has been V8, RWD, American muscle. Glad I was able to pick it up and get it to where I wanted it to be for a nice daily driver. Hopefully it'll keep on ticking and ticking and saving me money on gas and insurance for years and years to come.

The wheels were far from my first choice also, but they came with the car so I painted them and made the most of it. With the holiday season and shelling out the money for all the other work wheels were lower on the priority list. The ultimate goal is to find a set of factory polished blades. I love Integras on blades and I love the OEM look. That'll come a little further down the road though unfortunately.

That would look great, especially w/ the front lip to complement it.
Very sexy dd.

Thing looks really clean, nice pickup. Only thing I would suggest is to tape off the rear bumper inserts and paint them satin black. Keep us updated on the progress.
