my del sol progress build...over 4 years
ok i've been building my sol for about 4 years. it's went through so many changes. some of you might think i'm crazy for keeping it after all that has happened to it, but i couldn't sell my sol . i dunno why i'm doing this, but here it goes. i have alot of plans for it, when i get back from iraq. i never took any pics of when i first got it, because it was just ugly. i think i got some pics of when i used to be a ricer somewhere. i'll have to find them. here come the pics
oldest pic I have, when i used to be a ricer
well, the kit was very cheaply made, so umm, i sold it. put on the factory bumpers
OMG look at the wheel gay after the kit, i decided ricer wasn't the way to go. so I bought a extremely expensive farbon lip.
finally broke down and bought some coilovers and kyb shocks...
two days after the pics above, heres the story. Heading to my cousins house. to work on his supra. driving down some country *** road, all the sudden a deer runs in to the side of the car. talk about freakin out. just check out the pics...the deer hit me, I DID NOT HIT THE DEER.
the body work was pretty extensive, but it got fixed. while it was in the shop I sold my wheels, bought some more ebay clear corners, painted them amber. the reason my old wheels are on here was my buddy let me roll on them, until i could get some new ones.
fresh from the body shop
well i finally ended up getting some wheels. my buddy had them in his garage. they were on his ef hatch, but they were gold. so i said expetive the gold, painted them black...and polished the lip up.
quick story on the lip. being as it, my car doesn't look that low, but with the lip on it...i would scrap on everything. it lived a short life. mainly thanks to sonic, that's right america's drive in. and my dumbass pulling up too close. oh well, you will be missed. moving on.
i had my wheels on about a month, went to go visit my buddy. well it was a good trip until.
the goffy *** in the pic above...this is what happened to his car, about 10 min prior to mine. same parking lot, 50 feet away. expletive female kansas drivers .
moving on...well drove it home. went into the shop. apparently her insurance wouldn't pay to paint it. so i saved my self some money. just got it primered and sealed. been like that since.
this was about november last year, in my garage
after the accident and getting it semi fixed, i decided i was going to turbo my car, so I started aquiring parts...
don't remember really when i blew the stock d15b7, but i had it swapped for a d16y7
right before the front bumper makeover...
and this is how it currently sits...awaiting my arrival from iraq.
currently...my pops is taking care of the paint. it's going very soon, for a granada black pearl repaint. still debating on wheels. suprisingly my pops wants to make this our project car. which i cool with me.
any comments are welcome...i know i'm crazy for keeping it...after going through 2 totals, but i can't part with it. if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
btw here is the driver, doing what i do best here in iraq, this is what i do too...
what the hell...here are some others from iraq too...

LOL... it sure did. I was'nt feeling the CF lip at all, did'nt seem like it fit to well on the drivers side.
Car looks great in the last pics. I don't think I would ever be able to keep my car after that many benders. She does look good now though.
