i have a vx, and i like how i dont have the moldings...i dont really see a point in the thin moldings..especially for the price they go for...and especially since you'd have to drill...

im not flaming, but isnt the purpose of side moldings to protect the car from door dings. given they dont do a good job at that, but wouldn't "thin" side molding do even worse? its like downgrading just so u can look cool and be JDM. i suggest normal side moldings. just my .02

Good point, but he has a CX. They don't have ANY moulding. Wouldn't a thin one be better than a 0 one?

Hmmm .... i would just do a shave/fill of the molding ****.e, but dont go overboard, i would only fill mold of that molding spot, i wouldnt shave handles or badges or any of that crap

the reason i want it because you dont see too many white 5th gen hatch with black moldings, well at least in socal this is the case. i hated it at first then the more i see it the more im liking it.

good point there too. but, JDM thin moldings are like 100 plus and im pretty sure u can get non JDM stock ones for less. function over form right? i always hear that to justify JDM parts, now its a a reason not to. lol

I went to Honda to order body moldings (6-pieces) the guy quoted me like $110 or something. I said screw that and just paid the extra $30 for the jdm ones.

If you're not going to paint them, don't bother.

You must be nuts, hatches look so much cleaner without moldings, I'd give anything to not have them on my 93 si, I'd also give anything to have your white cx shell over my red si sheelbut thats another story. I say stay with the no moldings, but thats just IMO.

i think it would go well with the scheme of the car.. white with a few black accents..

you can use the super thin 3m double sided tape to hold them on without drilling holes..

when a friend of mine took off his mouldings on his DA to install the JDM ones he noticed one side was put on with this tape.. since its hard to get the JDM clips he just used the same tape and they have been on for about 8 months now...

a whole bunch of carwashes and rainy days later..
