Re: Jdm cars please post pics (fuccarlos)
My car may look similar to cars on here but its my flavor. I don't give a **** if people think i follow trends. If you were local you'd know that wasn't the case.
I'm merely stating that japanese stlye and JDM have 2 diff meanings and some steel wheels a few authentic OEM JDM parts and a carbon fiber hood does not make you car JDM.
That is fact. Argue all day if you want it doesn't change the FACT that you car is a USDM vehicle that is j-spec (hate that term too but I can live it) or japanese styled.

Well worded H. People get pissed on here when they realize that their car isn't JDM.

JDM is a style. It's the show types vs. the JDM types. Personally, I like having a car that gets some attention. No need for altezza's and bodykits, but nice paint and wheels go a long way IMO. Steel wheels? So JDM YO! I run steels on our Rally EF because they're DISPOSABLE! Your car can be fast, but if it looks like ****, who cares. Side markers. Did you know people in Europe GET RID OF THESE! We add them, they take them away.

Thats true about the sidemarkers, we do get rid of them.
We have a totally different scene in the UK, its the mentality for the general car modding massive, that big is better, so that includes wings, kits, wheels, big lairy paint jobs etc etc.
We (uk people) tend to copy everyone else's scene (yours, the europeans, the japanese) and add them all together, but we are more American inspired more than anything else.
I think its all to do with, what bits you can get that arnt readily available, i.e. you want what you cant have.
As in, you always want something on your car that no-body else has, and unfortunatly a stock JDM car with Mugen wheels may well be cool for you guys here who are well into your JDM stuff (because its rare and you cant get it everyday), over here it just gets dismissed for another old Japanese import because they are all over the place and we see them most days.
Its all to to with you want what you cant have.
Have any of you guys looked whats going on in Japan??!!!??,......they are starting to copy the fast and furious look for their mototrs .
Personally, i like what i like, yea i admit i like lexus lights/mental kits/chrome wheels........but i also like JDM aswell.
As long as YOU think it looks good, then so what!
Dan!!
ps i'm no jdm or ricer hater

Dude, that's probably the most intelligent and well thought out reply I've read on Honda-Tech.
I started reading Maxpower UK when I was 15, and I guess I sort of outgrew it. But some crazy motors in the UK for sure. You're right though, totally different scene than ours. We want to try to organize cruises, but it always seems to fall through.

Re: (unidextrous)
I stopped reading the mag due to the fact it became ridiculous after I turned 18. I live in Canada, so we don't have as many hangups about "da titteeesss."
They even say "****" on the news up here!
